5 Holiday Events in Boerne You Can’t Miss

Boerne-ites may not be able to boast the traditional “White Christmas,” but we do have a passion for the holiday season that rivals pretty much anyone else. From Dickens on Main to Oma’s Craft Fair, Boerne’s holiday traditions are absolutely one-of-a-kind.

And this year is no exception: head to all of your favorite traditional events, as well as a few new ones that you haven’t experienced yet! Below, we’ve compiled a list of just a few of the events going on in Boerne this holiday season.

1. Oma’s Christmas Craft Fair

Christmas shopping is all in one place this year with gifts of all kinds at Oma’s Christmas Craft Fair. Items featured include handcrafted wood pieces, homemade jellies, and jams, ceramics, embroideries, and more! This is a great way to get a bunch of your Christmas shopping list knocked out with festive and thoughtful items to give to loved ones.

When: Saturday & Sunday, December 2-3, 9:00 am-5:00 pm

2. Weihnacht Parade

The annual Weihnacht Parade is happening on December 2nd this year in downtown Boerne! A long-standing Christmas tradition in Boerne, the Weihnacht Parade will be celebrating its 31st anniversary, sending 100 beautifully designed floats down Main Street between Frederick Street and River Road. The parade is free, just show up and enjoy all the sights and sounds!

When: Saturday, December 2, 6:00 pm

3. The Christmas Town

Bring the family to the Christmas Town, a free event designed to get the whole family in the spirit of the season. The Christmas Town has live music, hayrides, a replica of the town of the nativity, and plenty of shopping. There is also an interactive area for the kids with a gingerbread forest of more than 100 decorated trees and a 24-foot gingerbread house. Grab a cup of hot cocoa and sing along to carols all night. Don’t forget to leave without taking a fun family photo!

4. Dickens on Main

Why wait for any longer after Thanksgiving to start celebrating the December holidays? Dickens on Main is a family fun celebration full of children’s activities, live music, performances (including Bah Humbug: A One Man Christmas Carol), horse-drawn carriages, and much more! See Boerne’s Main Street completely transformed just a day after Thanksgiving.

When: Friday & Saturday, November 24-25, 10:00am - 9:00pm

5. Sounds of the Season

Tinsel, an acapella quartet, is putting on a concert at the Cave Without a Name where they will sing contemporary songs along with traditional carols. It is safe to say that with a roster of Grammy award-winning singers, this group can sing! Tickets are available here.

When: Saturday, November 25th, 7:00 PM
